Description

Odisha has made significant strides in healthcare over the past two decades, driven by the dedicated efforts of block and community-level administration. They form the backbone of the National Health Mission (NHM), ensuring its success at the grassroots level. To maintain continuous improvement in healthcare delivery, the NHM, Odisha had requested CGG to organize a four-day residential program of "Strengthening Capacity for Health Sector Governance through Exposure Visit" for its block level health care professionals viz. Block Program Managers (BPMs), Block Data Managers (BDMs) and Block accounts Managers (BAMs). CGG had conducted this program in four batches wherein 200 officials have participated.

This initiative aims to equip healthcare personnel with up-to-date knowledge, skills, and best practices. It represents a vital step towards a healthier future for Odisha, fostering cross-state collaboration and knowledge exchange to enhance healthcare systems and improve the lives of citizens in both Odisha and Telangana. The program focused on Telangana’s health governance initiatives, such as the Free Dialysis Scheme, Aarogyasri Health Insurance Scheme, and Rural Wellness Centers/Model PHCs. It combined classroom learning with practical visits to a Dialysis Center, District hospitals, and Rural Wellness Centers, offering participants hands-on experience and direct interaction with beneficiaries to deepen their understanding of rural healthcare delivery in Telangana.
